This past weekend, the West Coast Vanners had the pleasure of gathering for a memorable cruise to Parkerville Tavern, followed by a visit to Possum Valley Animal Sanctuary. With around twenty members turning out, we enjoyed a day of camaraderie, good food, and a shared commitment to giving back to our community.
Our day started with a beautiful drive through the hills, with our trusty panel vans and utes drawing smiles and waves from passersby. The convoy made its way to the Parkerville Tavern, a charming spot known for its relaxed atmosphere and tasty pub fare. After a delicious lunch and plenty of laughs, we were ready for the next leg of our adventure.
Next stop: Possum Valley Animal Sanctuary. This incredible organization works tirelessly to provide a safe haven for rescued farm animals, and they do a fantastic job of educating the public on compassionate living. Our club was thrilled to support their work with a $1,000 donation, and our members were excited to meet some of the sanctuary’s residents. From goats and sheep to pigs and chickens, the animals were happy to greet us, making the experience even more meaningful.
Our visit to Possum Valley wasn’t just about the donation; it was about connecting with these amazing animals and learning about the sanctuary’s efforts to provide them with a peaceful, loving home. The staff were incredibly welcoming, giving us insight into each animal’s story and how every dollar helps.
Thank you to all the members who turned out to make this event such a success. We’re proud of our club’s commitment to the community, and we look forward to more events where we can enjoy each other’s company while making a positive impact.
Here’s to more cruises, connections, and contributions – the West Coast Vanners way!
